North Carolina mayors endorse Justice Allison Riggs for NC Supreme Court

Today, fourteen mayors from across North Carolina announced their endorsement of Justice Allison Riggs for the North Carolina Supreme Court. They include:

Barbara Foushee, Mayor of Carrboro
Ricky Hines, Mayor of Winterville
Bobbie Jones, Mayor of Princeville
Esther Manheimer, Mayor of Asheville
Jim McAllister, Mayor of Woodfin
Nancy Vaughan, Mayor of Greensboro
Leonardo Williams, Mayor of Durham
“Justice Riggs is a champion of people and is committed to honoring the rule of law. We need her voice on the court, as well as her passion and empathy,” said Mary-Ann Baldwin, Mayor of Raleigh.
"Justice Allison Riggs understands equal justice for everyone through her work with civil rights and voting rights. She is passionate about serving all of us,” said Barbara Foushee, Mayor of Carrboro.
“We must have strong, dedicated justices on our Supreme Court, individuals who can put politics aside, and stand firm on the law. Justice Riggs is one such individual. Therefore, she has my full support,” said Mayor Jones of Princeville.
“Justice Riggs is working for the interests and needs of the people. She has the track record to prove herself and she’s put in the hard work to show she will continue to serve with integrity and a forward vision for justice in North Carolina,” said Jess Anderson, Mayor of Chapel Hill.
